Elvis is a text editor which emulates vi/ex.
                          This version has had the colour editing patches applied,
                          so you can edit your c or c++ code with different colours
                          for keywords, symbols, strings, comments, etc!

                          Many other people have worked to port elvis to various
                               operating systems. To see who deserves credit, run the
                               :version command from within elvis

<Additional_Info> I have only compiled it for Solaris (so far), but source code is available and compilation wasn't
                          *too* difficult. You will need the colour patch
                          as well as the main source code.

                          You will need a .exrc.color file in your $HOME
                          directory; copy mine (~mortian/.exrc.color) for
                          a starting point, and/or see the colour info
                          doc (~mortian/doc/Color_choices).

                          If you are using a normal xterm, you will only
                          be able to differentiate plain and bold styles;
                          to use full colour you will need a colour xterm
                          (see cxterm in the repository).

                          PS.. I didn't compile in Fortran support. ;)
