Object_Id : 33 Title : MOREplus - a commercial version of MORE Node_Type : Production Format : HTML Address : http://rbse.mountain.net/MOREplus/ Keywords : Abstract : MOREplus is a commercialised version of the MORE system you are using to read this. It has a number of enhancements (some we've implemented, other that are already on our wishlist). It runs on Oracle whereas we have ported MORE to Ingres. Date_Entry_Created : 19/09/96 Entry_Created_By : jane Date_Entry_Last_Modified: 19/09/96 Entry_Last_Modified_By : jane Asset_Qualification : looks promising Other_Opinions : Contact_Person : mailto:moreplus@@mountain.net (or see Jane Clark for doco) IP_or_Copyright_Owner : MountainNet presumably has a licence to market their version. Support_re_Ownership : see UHCL conditions on the original MORE - http://rbse.jsc.nasa.gov:80/MORE/copyright.txt plus the MOREplus site, as above. Date_Item_Created : Usage_Conditions : MOREplus costs $20,000 for 1st year, this includes technical support, upgrades, User Group, and Administrative support. The 2nd yr.+ costs are $3,500 per/yr. for all the above. Support_re_Usage_Condns : I obtained the pricing from: Bob Terry, MOREplus Product Manager mailto:rhterry@@RBSE.Mountain.Net Authors_and_Contributors: RBSE project, University of Houston - Clear Lake (UHCL) enhanced/commercialised by MountainNet Inc. Projects_Used_In : none Obtained_From : Derived_From : "MORE" - an output of the RBSE program at UHCL. Related_Items : see other items in the "Repository Documentation & Background" collection. Code_Type : large program / suite / product Programming_Language : don't know / irrelevant Portations : SunOS, Solaris, HP-UX, IBM AIX, Ultrix Source_Location : contact MountainNet - mailto:moreplus@@mountain.net Binaries_Location : Issues_Bug_etc_List_Locn: Additional_Info : The web site ( http://rbse.mountain.net/MOREplus/) has a demo system with automatic guest access to the demo database. There are some interesting entries (and interesting collection structure; some of the class design can be inferred - we've created classes that are more generic than theirs). There is also a tutorial (good, but painful to go through as I couldn't find a table of contents for the tutorials). I have some of the tutorial pages printed out. These show some of their enhancements. The software looks good, but costs more than we can justify; also it is only Oracle. We should keep this software in mind if we sell our reuse/ knowledge management experiences.
