Object_Id : 32 Title : Template: Authority to Proceed (ATP) / Engineering Report (ER) Node_Type : Production Format : Microsoft Excel Address : The template is on citr@@citron; see below for access instructions Keywords : Abstract : << The ATP/ER is to be used for all projects, including internal projects. >> The Authority to Proceed is the key document for initiating a proposal and also a project. The Engineering Review Report is produced monthly, to report progress, resource usage and the financial situation of the project. Notes: The "ATP Workflow" sheet & "ER Summary" sheet each have a "Print" button to print the relevant sheets. The ER part is fairly automated, once set up. The key thing to remember is to first "freeze" the previous month's values in "white" cells in the "Financial Summary" sheet, BEFORE entering anything in "Resource Usage" or "Financial Summary" for the month you are working on. There are 3 types of ATP: - proposal (prepared in parallel with the proposal), - interim (sometimes, for large/long projects) - project (prepared during project startup - amending the earlier one(s), as necessary). For more information about ATPs & ERs, see the Project Manager Guide: (a FrameMaker book in /citr/Engineering/Handbooks/PM Guide) http://web/citr/Engineering/Handbooks/PM%20Guide/ You need to register your ATP (get a number) - see: http://repository:13531/more/UI_Metadata/public/1/55 Date_Entry_Created : 18/09/96 Entry_Created_By : jane Date_Entry_Last_Modified: 22/01/98 Entry_Last_Modified_By : jane Asset_Qualification : mandatory for Engineering use Other_Opinions : Contact_Person : Norm Lawler or Peter Bell IP_or_Copyright_Owner : CiTR Support_re_Ownership : Date_Item_Created : 21 October 1997 (version 4.2) Usage_Conditions : Support_re_Usage_Condns : Authors_and_Contributors: Peter Bell Ricky Leung Steven Wong Adrian Mortimer [others] Projects_Used_In : all Obtained_From : Derived_From : earlier versions see: http://web/citr/Templates/TEMPLATES-Eng/Old%20templates/ Related_Items : - ATP Register see http://repository:13531/more/UI_Metadata/public/1/55 - Proposal Checklist (Excel document) see http://web/citr/Engineering/Handbooks/Proposal%20Checklist - Project Startup Checklist (FrameMaker) see http://web/citr/Engineering/Handbooks/Startup%20Checklist - Project Managers Guide (FrameMaker book) http://web/citr/Engineering/Handbooks/PM%20Guide/ - Project Manager's Handbook [put reference (or ref.
