Abstract : At CiTR we have lots of people with the same first (given) name and
some with the same surname (family name). Also, we have a mix of user ids
                          - some are first name, some are surname, some are initials, some are "other" (with
                          some more
                          "other" than others!)

                          ... therefore, ...

The CiTR email system at the John Oxley Centre is set up so
Jo Doe, say, can be emailed using one of the following:

                               J.Doe@citr or j.doe@citr (it's not case sensitive)

                          J_Doe@citr or j_doe@citr
                               Jo.Doe@citr or ...
                               Jo_Doe@citr or ...

Note: When you quote your email address to people outside citr,

                          You can find out the
correct spelling of a surname from the

(I don't know the contigency plan when we get 2 people with the same
surname and same initial or worse
same first name & same surname -
                          hasn't happened yet!)
