Malcolm James Larke Blunt

Malcolm James Larke Blunt - RAAF uniform Malcolm James Larke Blunt, son of Bulimba Engineer Reg Blunt, inventor of Qld’s First bicycle “the Blunt Safety Cycle”. M. J. L. Blunt, fondly called “Tony” by his family, attended Bulimba State School, then Brisbane Grammar School for his high school years. He “stroked” for the Grammar winning the “Head of the River” in his final year there.  He achieved his Bachelor of Economics at Uni of Qld after which he worked for MLC. After Malcolm's brother Rupert died on the ship Manunda, he joined the RAAF , gained his wings in Canada which landed him a appeared in the film called 'Captain of the Clouds'. Malcolm was stationed in England prior to his heroic death  7 June 1942.  He was dearly missed by his wife Hannah Elizabeth Origlasso (Betty), parents Mary & Reg, brother Guerin, and sisters Hazel, Kathleen, Gloria, Josephine, and Connie.
